2027 Conference Host City
The Asia and Pacific Band Directors’ Association (APBDA) held an extraordinary board meeting on 4 December 2025, where it was decided that the next conference will take place in Chiayi City, Taiwan, in December 2027.
Please note that this conference is planned to be held jointly with the Chiayi City International Band Festival.
Specific details will be announced sequentially on this website.
Changes in Officer Posts
Effective from the board meeting held on 4 December 2025, the President and Secretary General for the 2023–2025 term have completed their tenure.
In accordance with the APBDA constitution, the following board members will serve in the respective officer posts until the 2027 Taiwan Conference:
- President: YEN Ching-Shyan (Taiwan)
- Vice President: Jovan Neo (Singapore)
- Secretary General: HUANG Pei-Hsuan (Taiwan)
- Deputy Secretary General: Brando Tan (Singapore)
According to the constitution, the Vice President and Deputy Secretary General should be elected from the host city of the conference following the next (i.e., the 2029 Conference). However, since the host city for the 2029 Conference has yet to be decided, these roles will be served by board members from Singapore, as per the board’s resolution.
The current Administration Manager and Deputy Administration Manager remain in their respective posts.

- Deputy Administration Manager: Keiichi Kurokawa (Japan)
